I’m fascinated by monks. What makes a person dedicate their whole lives to the monastery. Myanmar is a country full of monks. It is an honour to be a monk. Most people would be a monk for at least a week in their lifetime.
Colourful handicrafts. Wood carving, Painting, Lacquer ware and woven textiles are probably their main handicrafts for tourists.. They were everywhere.
When I travel to a foreign country, I love people watching. I love to see how they live, what they do and what they wear. Their traditional garment is the Lungyi. Both men and women wear them like a sarong.

Wonderful post…pictures…words. This is amazing, as my sister and I just returned from a 2-week trek in Myanmar, and I still cannot put into words how much I loved the place/people/culture. A great surprise to find this today…and bring those great memories right back to the forefront again. Cheers!
