It’s Sunday. Stay home to sketch or go out and play? This is a super high speed sketch I did when I woke up before I went out to play. It is Sunday after all. I realise I go out more when I’m back in the city vs when I’m back on the island. It is a good balance. I work more and develop more designs when I’m on the island, and when I’m back in the city, I go out more and do all the stuff I hate like marketing and PR.
Today, I went to a local artisan fair to check out the scene. There are so many talented individuals, and it makes me realise how little I do to get myself out there. I was with some friends and they picked up a name card from one of the artist’s tables. My friend pointed out that the card says, “Artist, designer, Entrepreneur” He reminded me that I have the artist and designer position covered but where is the ENTREPRENEUR? That’s the missing link in my so called business. I applaud those who can do everything. I admit that is my weakest link. Maybe that should be the next challenge I set myself…
