Since it’s Eid today, and on the theme of Islam, today I decided to sketch an Izmik plate. I really love the floral pattern on this one. I do love islamic designs in particular the floral ones such as this and the geometric patterns.
that is such a heart warming story. thanx so much for sharing it with me. I have no kids either and I have that type of relationship! I have “adopted parents and kids of different races and religion” I also have a good friend who had a compulsive gambling addiction. He owed so many people money, lied to all his closest friends, hit rock bottomed and was going to kill himself with a gun. I remember it clearly cos it was christmas eve and we were all looking for him. He had driven to a remote town, like you in a hotel room but somehow changed his mind and reached out to one person. That person got him to rehab and he now shares his story to everyone he meets. I don’t know what you went through. I only know what my friend told me about his experience but I know how I felt when we realised he was missing. Thank god you are both still here to share your stories and to reach out to others.

HAPPY Eid….I have a good friend that has traveled back to his homeland to Celebrate Eid with his family in Pakistan….He calls me his Mom, I call him my “Adopted SON”…..LOL…as we have no kids of our own. I just found your blog through another, and I’m now happily following!
I did finally have a *DREAM* of mine fulfilled as a Published Author at 50 years old!! You have LOADS of time, and JUST WRITE what you in your heart, the words will come 🙂
I wrote my Story of My Life, starting as a little girl, as I went through childhood trauma, Mental health life challenges, a Compulsive addicted gambling addiction, and into Recovery now 6+yrs. What motivated me to write MY STORY??? A newspaper article about a woman who committed Suicide in a Large Indian Casino Hotel room by way of a shot gun!…….I NEEDED to write what I went through so others could have Insight of one of the Fastest, Deadly, addictions currently…….That is why I wrote & shared my Experience. That woman almost was ME.
Thanks for a great Post, God Bless!
