Today’s sketch of the day barely made it. I woke up feeling like a hangover because I came home at 230 in the morning. It must be a sign of old age. It’s not even that late and I don’t drink! I feel nauseous and light headed. Maybe I’m just allergic to work . I have had a really busy few weeks.

This week I took delivery of 60 bags and cards I’m making for a friends wedding.  I met up with printers to work on a new range of Bulan eco totes. Lots of meetings with potential stockists, a lot of market research and sourcing for materials, and at the same time I’m still sketching and fine tuning new designs. I feel emotionally and physically drained.  No I didn’t mention sales and marketing. That’s on my list but it’s my least favourite part of the business. Nope I haven’t done it.

Tomorrow, like a traveling salesman I have to deliver a few bags to a friend and customer back in the city. It’s a four hour drive. If I had planned it better I would have posted it to her but I didn’t think that my bag production would take that long. You never know with delivery lead time. Each batch i order have new problems I have to solve, affecting production time.

O well, tomorrow is a new week, a new city and a new adventure.
