I’m excited to share what i accidently discovered last Sunday in Shoreditch. I saw a couple of mushrooms on roof tops and wondered what they were. I noticed the first one and thought, how cool, someone dressed their chimney with a pink mushroom. That person must have a sense of humour. A few hours later, I spotted another one opposite the box park in Shoreditch. That’s when I thought, hang on a minute, is there a mushroom epidemic in the area I’m not aware of?
I particularly love the sculptures because they are on rooftops, I would have missed them had i not looked up. Unlike street artists who use walls as their canvas where every passerby will definitely see them eg the giant hedgehog on chance st, the mushrooms although not subtle in colour nor size, are placed high up, well above eye level, and if you are not looking, you will miss them
